Mahalaxmi Municipality is a historic town of Lalitpur District which is formed by integrating historic villages i.e. historic village of Shringasram Lamatar, Rural Textile City with Mahalaxmi temple Lubhu, small and beautiful typical Newari settlement Siddipur, Land of Tikeswor Mahadev Tikathali and Land of Pearls –Motitaar Imadol. Mahalaxmi Municipality is natural unification of Lamatar, Lubhu, Siddipur, Tikathali and Imadol VDCs of Lalitpur. It is located in South West part of Kathmandu valley and in six kilometer distance from Tribhuvan International Airport.
